Yes, they're called "templates" and basically each PS2 Classic release on PS4 comes with its own, unique, emulator - some are more modern than others, more accurate, slower .. and some are older, less accurate, but *significantly* faster. What people do when creating custom PS2 PKGs is basically test the respective game with each emulator template to try and find out compatibility and bug fixing

Rogue Galaxy was the first, and most used by us, and Jak & Daxter Precursor Legacy is more recent, more accurate, but also a lot slower.

There's plenty of guides online (including one I can't post on here, but google for "PS2 PKG g991" and you'll find a great guide, and google for "ps2 pkg codebreaker angeldavil88" to find another excellent guide I once used as the basis of making my own Codebreaker-injected titles, though I don't use the GUI) -- and here's the template collection I've acquired so far, with *enormous* thanks to two people in particular, who wish to remain anonymous ;) Many even have the needed trophies/patches, though it's FAR from complete I'm afraid.

I googled "PS2 PKG g991" and found tons of videos which one? (i need the one where i can use disc swapping )
P/s i have only used PS4 PS2 Classis GUI and it's easy to use, but i don't think it supports disc swapping

I didn't say videos, I said a guide... there's a text guide. As for making multi-disc PKGs, you'll have to look and find that too. Most of the things I discovered and worked on took a lot of searching and tweaking for my own use, I'm afraid there's no "one size fits all" solution, you'll just have to keep trying. In the meantime, I recorded this a while back -- it may help. I also fixed the link above, I added too many bbcodes and it broke >_<

Skip to 8:20 if you just want to see how I make multi-disc PKGs.

The gist of multi-disc PKGs is the right emulator (like I said, Jak at the minimum) and the right commands inside config-emu-ps4.txt

--max-disc-num=2 (or more)
--switch-disc-reset=0

That last command only exists in emulator template (eboot.bin) starting with Jak, and it's the most important command. Without that, if you hold the PS button and choose "switch disc" from the menu, the game resets. As you can imagine, this negates the memory patching from Codebreaker.

~edit~

I also uploaded my entire PS2 workspace archive, all the tools and templates, they're on my profile. Hopefully it helps :)

Hey do you think i can do it using this?

it seems easier. would the cheats stick around while switching to another disc?

I already told you, no, you need to be using Jak emulator *at the minimum*, and to the best of my knowledge PS2 Classics GUI is using Olympack/Rogue Galaxy.

I got the full source folder for PS2 Classics GUI, say can we somehow replace the Olympack with Jak Emu?

I tried to watch your video but the menus and text are too small to view.

Your Grandia III has CB and two discs, which means you used the Jak emu right? now lets say we excreted the PKG kept disc one and then replaced the ISO for the disc disc with out own iso then repack again..would it work? that way we can launch CB add cheats then siwtch to disc two ..is it possible?

Look, I'm sorry, today isn't a good day. I've given you everything, absolutely everything. You have my templates, you have my tools!, you have a 40 minute video where you can see exactly what I do and what I did - it's a 1080p video so unless you're on a mobile phone, it cannot be too small. There's nothing else I can do for you, I'm sorry, you'll just have to try it yourself.

Ok sorry about that.

Btw i think you missed it, but your templates link is deleted. there's no files there

Again, I already told you; I fixed the link. It was a broken BBCode issue, just scroll up and see. Anyway, I apologise, my bad mood isn't because of - or directed at - you, I'm just having a shitty day. Sorry.

Update: i unpacked your Grandia III PKG (since it has two discs) and replaced the second disc with the game i wanted, repacked and created fake PKG and everything worked except for the cheats i activated from the first disc, but apparently the memory rest upon switching. You used that Jak emu for this game right? you mentioned that we can do that only with the Jask emu to avoid a disc reset or something.

Do you recommend that i use a different game as a template? thanks
P.s the game i used is Dark Cloud 2 and now it's playable in Widescreen, but i still need CB for this game

No, I didn't use Jak for Grandia III... and Grandia III is a TWO DISC game, so the first disc is exactly that.. the first disc. I injected CB into each disc so that it doesn't matter if the emulator resets upon disc swap, as the only disc swap is at the mid-game juncture and you get a save prompt first.

What I recommend is simply injecting CB ELF into your Dark Cloud 2 ISO before you PKG it. That's the quickest and easiest option. You have all the tools and the guide to do so now.

Actually i was using DC2 because it's a bit smaller, my real target is Rogue Galaxy and there's no way to add BC to it because it's a tow layer based disc and you need the exact LBA order to get it to launch with CB

Did you use the Jak on some other games? is yes, which one? and if the game has like onky one disc can i add a second and then adjust the config to apply disc swapping?

Files reuploaded!
