Xenoblade patch 14 issues

Trying to install the Xenoblade 2 update 14 and it will not install. If I use tinfoil 0.2.1 with USB it freezes right when it installs the ticket and cert. When I try tinfoil DZ it doesn't seem to apply. It runs for a second and then goes back to the menu. Logs don't even show a completed/fail.

I've tried installing all DLC first then the update, and just the base game then update 14. I have also tried another nsp of the main game and another update file.

I didn't have any issues with my SX OS switch. Everything worked fine.

7.0.0 7.0.1 CFW game installs are still unstable. go and use 6.2.0 CFW and give it a try.

i gave up 7.0.0 CFW because of the many issues with installing games NSP and xci. using 6.2.0 fixed all my issues

Do you use the latest atmo version or an older one?

EDIT: I thought I had to have a 6.2 backup nand to downgrade from 7.0? Or am I misinformed?

I needed more information about your situation I will assume some things in your case

I assume you updated to 7.0.1 official firmware and you jail broke it and now you try to install games

yes you can downgrade to 6.2.0 from 7.0.1 using hetake and ChoiDujourNX

I use the latest version of atmosphere and Goldleaf ( former tinfoil ) on version 6.2.0 CFW and no problems installing games

I updated using ChoiDujourNX to 7.0.0 and I was having lots of issues installing games, so i read that many people had problems installing games on this version ,. then i decided to use 6.2.0 and all my problems banished

PS. I use the latest version of gold leaf on CFW 6.2.0 when I install games i choose the option "ignore firmware version " and so far none of my games and game updates have given me any issues

PS2 NO, you do not need NAND back to downgrade

Ya, when I bought the switch it was already on 7.0.1.

OK. I'll give it a whirl and see what happens :biggrin:

EDIT: Is this going to delete the user profiles on the switch? I have a Nintendo linked user account so I can play the games that require it.

it should work, dont worry plenty of people updated to 7.0.0 by mistake and have downgraded to 6.2.0 CFW and are playing games just fine. a friend of mine I helped included.

I downloaded ChoiDujourNX 1.0.1 but it doesn't let me select anything. I've pushed every button and nothing happens. Gonna try re downloading it and see what happens unless you've seen this before.

Dont try to select buttons use the touch screen

LOL. I always forget it has a touchscreen. Ok doing the downgrade now.

Hi all! Regarding Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and update 2.0.2;

I am on 9.0.1, ATM 0.9.4. When installing base game, the Switch asks for an update when trying to launch Xenoblade. When I install update 2.0.2 I get an errormessage stating:

"The software was closed because an error occurred".

This is without any DLC present. Tried Tinfoil, Goldleaf but get the same message every time.

Atmosphère and patches, Kosmos and patches, same result.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

your problem is with the installer.
update whatever you are using if its updated user another one. the problem is you need to select "Ignore firmware "
if you are using SX os installer on 9.x.x forget it its buggy AF
use tinfoil or gold leaf
if you already user gold leaf go update it. if its updated use tinfoil.
i cant replicate user error nor settings
