Which games are compatabile with 5.05

Hi And thanks for reading this thread.

I just purchased a wolfenstein game for the ps4. I am on firmware version 5.05 but whenever i try to play the game it keeps saying to upgrade to firmware version 6,
and i cannot get any further than that.

Is there anyway around this. Can i copy the game to hard drive and play it from there.

Also, Is there anyway to find out which games are compatible with 5.05, and which will not work.

Is it Wolfenstein Young Blood? You won't be able to play that on 5.05. There is no workaround.

The best advice at this point is to have a second PS4. One for 5.05 Jailbreak and another one updated to current firmware that you can also play online.

Used PS4's are cheap. And there's tons of great games to play that you can't play on 5.05.

Pretty much any game released from June 2018 onwards won't work on 5.05.

There are a few tutorials for backingup ps4 games from disc to hard drive on youtube and a few other sources, but these are labelled as 2018.
How do i find out which games 5.05 will work on. Is there a list anywhere, is there anyway of figuring it out. Should i look at the year of release.

A quick google search yielded this.

I have no idea if this is a complete up to date list or not.

Other ideas if you have a very specific game you want to check:

1) I have found the Official Sony PSN store to be the most reliable source of release dates. Every game on the PSN store has an exact release date posted.

NOTE: This still won't tell you the firmware requirements of the base game but better than nothing.

2) Search google for "NAME OF GAME FPKG"

ie: 'God of War Fpkg'.

If it exists, it should come up with some results. I wouldn't necessarily always trust those results, but it's better than nothing.
