SX OS v3.0.3 Beta and SX Core/Lite Flasher Application Announcement
We are back with a minor (yet important!) update for SX OS, as well as an PC utility for updating your SX Core/Lite firmware over USB. The latter is required for people who ran tools that were not designed for their Switch console. One example is the popular `Choi Du Jour NX`, which people use to upgrade/downgrade their firmware. This tool was designed for classic erista/rcm consoles, and as such is dangerous to use on mariko consoles.
That said, lets have a look at the official changelog:
- SX Core/Lite firmware v1.3
SX Core/Lite users will be prompted to install a firmware update upon first launch of SX OS 3.0.3. This is a mandatory update that improves the stability of SX Core/Lite. It also adds hardening against accidental bricks that were caused by running tools designed for Erista/RCM consoles on. People who are unable to run SX OS v3.0.3 because they bricked their consoles are advised to run the standalone USB updater application.
- New functionality added to SX Core menu
The SX Core menu in the SX OS boot menu has been enriched with some new functionality for advanced users:
- Cleanup:
Will remove any trace of SX Core/Lite on your NAND.
- Genuine Boot:
Boot straight into original firmware without going through the typical SX OS bootchain. This is *different* from using the regular boot original firmware functionality, for example you won't be protected from getting your fuses burnt. Only use when you know what you are doing!
- Minor stability improvements
You know the drill! Under the hood we're always changing things, to increase both stability and performance of your beloved SX OS.
Both
SX OS 3.0.3 as well as the
`SX Flasher` application (Currently only for Windows, if there is enough demand we will consider releasing ports for OSX and Linux). Of course you can also use the over-the-air update functionality from within SX OS!
That's it for today. Stay tuned for more news!

Both per user save files and device specific save files are supported!
The save files on the sd cards are saved under /SXOS/saves/ (SXSM game ID goes here) /
Cloud saves are stored in /SXSaves/(SXSM game ID goes here) on google drive.
How to use:

- If you chose to restore or back up a save choose “Export” to back up the save and “Import” to restore the save.
- From there you will be asked if you want to back up / restore from the SD Card (local) or Google drive (Cloud).
- If you select cloud you will be prompted to log in to your google account via the web applet.
- From there you will see a brief please wait message and finally either a success or error message.
- You can also toggle if you want to sort the games in the list by last played or most time played by pressing R.
ATTENTION: This is V1.0, although it has been thoroughly tested by TX reviewers team (thanks guys again) there could be bugs we did not find with the networking code. So we recommend for people backing up to the cloud to also backup to the SD card until we have more users reports. Thank you!

SX Save Manager v1.1
First we want to thank all SX OS users who also added SX Save Manager to their SX library for the feedback they sent us. It helps us greatly improves our products.
So here is our first update, which mainly focus on correcting small bugs and make it what we think is a pretty stable version that all of you can enjoy without worries.
Changelog:
- Fixed two simple but easy to miss bugs that caused many users to crash if they had over 30 titles or corrupt games installed. We apologize for any inconveniences caused by this.
- Added a settings menu
- Added option to hide device saves
- Added support for BCAT data
- Changed "Export or import" text to "Backup or restore" to avoid confusion
- Added fast scrolling using the left analogue stick
- Sort mode is now saved instead of defaulting on launch
- The UI's game name text now also includes the save type for all types
- SX Save Manager is now hidden in the list
- Removed 8.8.8.8 DNS override (this app only, not system wide) to increase compatibility
- Added option to back up all data to the SD card
- Added option to use custom file names
- Many small improvements to increase stability
Additionally some users were confused by the different types of saves. Here is a brief explanation.
- A user specific save is a save file that belongs to a user. That save is loaded when the game is launched by that user.
- A common user save (also known as a device save) is a save file that doesn't belong to a user, these saves are used by all users. An example of a common user save is Animal Crossing where all players on a single Switch share one island.
- BCAT data is data used by Nintendo to add new content to games without releasing a full update for example Animal Crossing uses it to add events without releasing full updates.
More to come in the future as we keep on pushing further the limits of your beloved Switch console !
