Swap exhdd with other 5.05 ps4

So what happens if I connect my external drive with all the games installed on it, to another ps4 with 5.05 jailbreak?
Will they show up on it?
Can't find the answer on the net
I read that u have to be on the same psn account. But what happens if your not online and not even got a psn account linked to the 2 ps4's. Will the games show up on the other ps4?
 
The hard drive is encrypted to the PS4 it is formatted to. You can't just plug it in another PS4 and expect it to work. It will ask you to format it when you plug it in to another PS4. The only way around that was to have the same PSN accounts on both which you don't have.

Think about how easy piracy would be if you didn't need a PSN account and you could just use a external hard drive on any PS4. Sony made it where it will only work with a PSN account tied to both.

I'm not sarcastic am serious and sure from the info and I'll tell you some stories using it.

Last year i lost my internal hdd due to power failure after replacing the hdd and reinstalling the system i replugged the usb extended storage and all the games were there I was surprised!

Once i did system reinitialization and i forget that my extended storage was plugged the result all is gone.If you do database rebuild don't panic your games will still on the system just replug your hard drive and let the system do it job for the games on internal hdd use db rebuild tool or restore it if you had a backup.and the big surprise is after sollling my PS4 pro to a friend months after and buying a slim when the new jb came out,i kept my extended storage all what I did is enable hen plug my hard drive and used it as extended storage an icon on the top right corner appeared indicating that the PS4 is scanning the hdd all my games were there.

You're wrong
It'll ask you to connect to the psn account associated with the game or insert the disk
If hen is enabled you bypass this restriction
 
I can tell you from my experience my 2tb external hdd was able to be read from, took a few :P, but even with hen all games were locked :/.
Have not tried connecting to my psn account though, guess that should be possible without sony forcing an update down your throat right?

From my experience with hen fpkg games works directly and bypass the psn verification ,for the lock icon it takes sometime if you have a lot of packages installed to disappear specially the first time , personally I never wait for the lock icon to disappear I launch the game directly as soon as hen is enabled and the games works just fine.
 
Nor do I, still got the buy in store message. Maybe it's because the games on the external are updated with the latest firmware, I dunno and don't realy mind since I can play them officially :P. All I know they don't work for me on the 6.72 with hen :rolleyes:

For fake package files they will work fine with the assumption of course that your PS4 is jailboken and you have the minimum firmware required.
For psn retail package I don't know if they work with hen even on internal hard drive.
 
Indeed the games I have on there are non fake pakaged, still wanted to try for dumping sake...... but then again you need to be able to run the game to dump it right :rolleyes:, I'm sure there is another way of dumping of which I have no knowledge O_o or not :biggrin:.
