I was just saying I don't think this will help anyone except people with two ps4s with the same psn account. Could be wrong though
Sure, it might work it might not, but it's certainly worth a try.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1upkdaxDHpqS-0YdazaL3ZcEZorG0jMdKDelete whatever Spotify version you already have installed first.
Install app.pkg first, if it says it's already installed, choose to reinstall. Then install patch.pkg. Open phone and in Spotify Connect choose your ps4. If it hangs on "Connecting..." , close the app on phone and try again.
It worked for me on the second try and everytime after that without problem. Doubt my psn account is linked in those .pkg files but I'm not an expert at all. Hopefully it works for you.

Didn't work for me installed fine can even connect to the ps4 with spotify app just won't play any audio when connected.

Do you have the Spotify sub menu when you keep the PS button pressed? On the phone does it show that your ps4 indeed connected? It's a gamepad icon in green
No no submenu and can't login to spotify for obvious reason .

This worked for me first try. Ran app.pkg followed by patch.pkg. I ran the app once and was met with psn sign in. At that point I could use spotify connect and confirmed working audio. Thanks for this!

How to stop the app from continues updating tho?
In the ps4 settings there's an automatic downloads submenu. Disable everything from there and updates won't download anymore
