reinx help

so i wanted to update reinx in order to update my switch to 8.0 but for some reason i cant get version 2.4 to work, ive tried multiple sd cards. i have autorcm enabled coming from a previous version. i tried version 2.3 with a clean sd and it works fine as well as the old version. however 2.4 does not? sd card formatted to fat32, hbl.nsp is in the reinx folder, all of that is correct. when i inject the payload on 2.4 splash screen comes up as it does in the other versions but then just goes back into rcm mode instead of to the home screen. it seems like the "black screen" issue people had in 2.2.
firmware is currently 6.2 is it not compatible?

you need put the ReiNX.bin on the root of the sd card too.

before anything. hold power button by itself for acouple of second and boot into "normal mode" OFW. now follow steps below

step one format your SD card to FAT32 is the best for ReinX
then make sure you download the legit files from reinx web https://reinx.guide/downloads/stable
then make sure you are on 8.x.x Fm and not on 9.0.0
this is how your sd card should look like

then make sure ReiNX.bin is at the root of your SD and also a copy of ReiNX.bin is in your desktop aswell
put switch on RCM
open tegra RCMGUI and browse for the ReiNX.bin on your desktop and send payload to the switch and that should take care of it


PS. remember you have to DELETE the old Reinx.bin file from your computer and BROWSE for the new one you just downloaded on TEgraRCMGUI.
if you send OLD .bin file to the newer firmware you will get a black screen


if nothing works and you start having fights with your girlfriend dont panic there is a backdoor method that also works

download Hekate https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/releases
copy the bootloader folder to the root of your SD card
then place reinx.bin inside the payloads folder (inside the bootloader)
now on tegraRCM in stead of sending the reinx bin. you now need to browse and send the Hekate.bin file.
in Hekate go to payloads. select reinx.bin and it should launch just fine

I did end up fixing the issue. Can confirm 6.2 is not compatible with reinx 2.4. Updated switch to 8.0 and it worked fine on reinx 2.4. Apparently something between 2.3 and 2.4 changed compatability with 6.2 firmware.
