I apologize if this in the wrong sub forum but I figured it may be a question others have so the answers to these questions may belong here:
1) How do you dump PSN games since you can't go online to download them with your 5.05 PS?
2) I understand that 5.55 games are encrypted with a key that only the Official PS 5.55 firmware is capable of decrypting in order to play them. Can I ask why the key can't be taken out of the 5.55 firmware and then used to manually decrypt a game? Or replace the existing key in 5.05 with the one in 5.55? I'm genuinely just curious as to what the limitations are, perhaps this is already happening? I really wish I had the free time to get involved. If the 5.55 firmware can be unlocked by 5.05, then a hacked PS should be able to get a decrypted dump of it as well, not even mentioning the private 5.55 exploits, and once you have the decrypted dump of 5.55 couldn't you take the key used to decrypt higher level games and combine that with the version spoof and then be able to play any games going forward? Or better yet, repackage the 5.55 firmware so the existing exploit still exists and we can actually upgrade. If someone could please give me an idea as to what the limitations are here I'd really appreciate, super curious.
