PS4 update for JB question

My PS4 is on 4.73 OFW. I downloaded the fw update for 5.05 onto a USB stick ready to go, but my PS4 automatically has 5.50 downloaded. Is it safe to update from USB still? Or will the newer firmware take over when the console reboots to install the update? Sorry if this sounds like a noob question, but I just want to make sure I don't update past 5.05

edit: I already have access to Al-Azif's exploit through the user guide, but there is no support for my current fw (4.73)

I think you can't risk updating while there is a new version (5.55) already downloaded. Make sure you dlelete that file first before trying to do anything.

You can delete it from the notifications.

I got it sorted, thanks! Now I'm just trying to figure out how to remove the locks from previously installed games (downloaded from sony store with different account that I no longer have access to). I think I have to find a way to dump them and patch them on the pc?

It would probably just be quicker & easier to just download fpkg versions of those locked games
