Hello,

I have PS4 Pro Model: CUH-7116B Jet Black

I updated it from 5.05 to 6.51 using Wi-fi System Software Update.

I downloaded Resident Evil Collection which is pkg size 24 GB.

Now how can I install it from my external 1TB exFAT USB drive to my PS4?

I heard I should jailbreak to CFW 6.51 but I don't know how to do it.

Any help please?

It's my fault. I didn't know all about this.
I've read that there's a way to use Format Factory to wipe all the data as well as system software and have a usb with a 5.05 to re-install system software is this true please?

To restore system software to its default settings, select
icon_settings.png
(Settings) > [Initialization] > [Restore Default Settings], and then follow the on-screen instructions.

But what is the use of version 6.51 now?
I didn't know about this until I accidentally updated to 6.51
Now I know that I should be on 5.05 in order to have kernel to install PKG games. :(

And it also says that Reset Format Factory it will restore the PS4 a it came out of the box.
So doesn't that suppose to mean it came out of the box with an older firmware?

It came out the box with an older firmware but once you update it you cannot go back. No matter what you do. So your only option is to buy another PS4 or use this one for online. Forget about PKG

But should I keep it on 6.51 and not update it online again until a kernel gets released for it?

There's absolutely no way you will ever get Kernel exploit on the firmware you're at. Your only option is to buy another PS4 or use this one for online play

But I see over the internet they are already working on this.
I see that 5.50 - 6.50 fully expolited in private
So what does that mean?

Technically speaking, you can keep your PS4 Pro at firmware 6.51 until a kernel exploit eventually come out for it.

From my understanding, the exploit entry point is not being patched by $ony even on the latest firmware, that's why you don't see any exploit release after 5.05 because the privately held 5.55 exploit is the last we have.

However having said that, you are a complete idiot to update your firmware from 5.05 & it's going to be a long long wait until anything even remotely available for your current FW6.51 - probably by the end of PS4 life cycle so you are talking about maybe year 2021 & beyond.

First, Why are you insulting a guy making a thread asking for help and I didn't even know about jailbreaking before I update the software. After updating, I figured out. Judging people saying a complete idiot without understanding whether they know of the matter!!!

This is not a way to answer people :( You should show more respect in your talking and watch you tongue, please..
