Hi all, just looking for opinions. I'm looking to upgrade my HDD on my PS4. I currently have the standard 500gb. i have a 3tb 3.5 inch HDD here and plan on using it. I have an old enclosure I can use but have been looking at the nyko extender which I can get for about £19 or so. Has anyone ever used one? TIA

Should do just fine. It's nothing more than a special casing for bigger HDDs with a extension cable for the SATA interface and a PSU as the 3.5" HDDs need more power than 2.5" ones. I mean it's not really anything special. You could build such a thing yourself but 19 Pounds is a great price (a steal basically).

Btw are you talking about the Nyko Data Bank for PS4?

Yes its the Nyko data bank, would it be better to have the hdd ran as internal storage though as that was my question really instead of having a 500gb internal hdd and running a 2tb external?

Having a bigger internal drive makes more sense because the app2usb thing to install/play games from external HDDs is not really that 100% reliable. Performance wise it would probably make no feelable difference I guess, because hackers and developers like failoverflow discovered that the SATA connector is just using USB internally.

Sounds good, I'll just go with the data bank then, it should make things easier if anything, cheers
