Noob hacking my switch Help

Hi

Ive just bought a switch and i am wondering what do i need to do to hack it (Not arrived yet)

Ive checked its serial and its Unpatched

Ive read a few tutorials and still a bit confused

Do u need to use a RCM jig everytime u boot the switch?

Any help would be great

when you hack the switch there is an option to enable "auto RCM" so no jig is required everytime

Does it work if the battery completely dies ?

Also what's the best firmware to use at this moment ?

yes.
if battery dies. the screen will remain dark even if you plug in to charge., so what you do is plug it in the computer and inject payload for the screen to turn on again.

The switch has arrived its on 8.1.0

After I have backed up the Nand how do I downgrade to 8.0.1?

Im not interested in going online ever

if your switch is on 8.1.0 you cannot downgrade to a lower firmware.
all the issues that it might have most likely will get ironed out by the amazing hombrew community

no, not worth the hassle to send it back.
8.1.0 will get better just like other firmwares got better over time.

Since you are new i doubt you will be using certain apps that require moderate knowledge in homebrew

can you play your backed up copies of games in 8.1.0 yes you can.

So get this right I back up my Nand and enable auto rcm and never update the official firmware?

yes save your NAND back up files on a separate drive on your computer. DONT keep it on the SD as SDs could become corrupted damaged or lost.
YES RCM is enabled by default.
and NO dont update oficial firmware ever. later you will find out how to update using hombrew program (useless for you right now sinec you are on 8.1.0.

No question is stupid.

Apologies for hi-jacking the thread, I was just wondering, these patched Switch consoles, is there any way to hack them at all?

I want to buy a Switch in the next month or so and I'm worried I'll get a patched one...
 
Ive manged to get another switch on 7.0.0

What do u advise me to do?

Whats the most stable CFW out there?
