Missing save data from one profile

My ps4 saves were somehow deleted from the system but it seems like they are still taking up space on the hard drive. This only happened on one profile as all of the other ones are fine.

Is it possible my saves are still there but locked somehow? What can i use to backup my saves so i can restore them if this happens again?

It's possible, but since you didn't backup anything, I doubt you can retrieve them now. You can use FTP to backup the following:
/user/home/[profile name]/savedata
/user/home/[profile name]/savedata_meta
and database files:
addcont.db; app.db from: /system_data/priv/mms/

This can also be done using payloads. Plenty of tutorials out there.

ok cool. I ran the backup payload from the web exploit but it never ran. Wasnt sure if i needed a seperate drive or if i could use my ext storage that has my games. Just thought it was odd that my profile was deleted (only saves) but the other profiles i setup were all fine. I will use FTP to manually backup. Thanks!
