Does anyone mind helping me out here, I just got a jailbroken PS4 with an exteranl harddrive formatted with games. I want to add additional games to that formatted drive so I downloaded a new game and put it into a diffrent external drive i use on my PC in hopes I'll be able to transfer that file to the formatted one once I have them both hooked up to the ps4. Of course the new external hardrive doesn't appear unless its formatted which I don't want to do.

So my question is how do you add new games to your already formatted external hardrive? If anyone can explain the steps to me the help will surely be appreciated.

External HDD formatted in Exfat, Games in the Root in FPKG format.
On PS4, you activate the Exploid and enter Debug Settings, Game, Instal PKG.
Sorry my english

You have to format the hard drive where you want to store the game installation files (.pkg) to ExFAT filesystem or else the PlayStation 4 will not recognize it. The .pkg files go into the root of the drive. NOT IN A FOLDER! If they're in a folder the PS4 won't recognize them.

The exact way to install games is:
1. Run the HEN exploit.
2. Connect the HDD to your PS4.
3. Go to Debug Settings - Game - Package Installer (there is no "Install PKG" in Debug Settings).
4. Select the game you want to install and wait for it to finish installation.

Thanks for the information. How do I go about adding additional game pg files to the formatted hard drive so I can add more games over time. Do I replug the formatted hard drive into my pc?

I'm still not sure if I understood you right. Are you talking about the internal PS4 hard drive or a portable USB hard drive that you use to storage the .pkg files on?

For the sake of your PlayStation 4 don't touch the internal hard drive unless you want to lose all data and reinstall the PS4 firmware.

If you're talking about a portable drive, then you simply just reconnect it to your PC and load the new games onto it and do the same to install them as before. Just like you would for example do with a USB thumb drive for music, photos or similar.

Given you know the basics of using a computer and portable storage media.

Thanks for the reply the problem I having for the portable drive is, once I put it in my laptop now it doesn't appear. I'm assuming because I formatted it for the ps4. So how do I continue to add new games to a portable hardrive that's already formatted for the ps4?

From the computer? You don't continue at all from there if you did the thing you said you did. The hard drive is now encrypted by the PS4 and can only be used with/by the PS4.

It is still not clear what exactly you want to do. Do you want to add more installation PKGs to a hard drive to install them on your PS4 or do you actually want to use that HDD to expand your PS4 storage and install games on it?

These two things are absolutely different subjects.

If you want to use the HDD to store installation PKG files on it and then install them on the PS4 you have to format the HDD to ExFAT and copy the PKG files onto it. No formatting or fiddling with it in the PS4 at all.
