How do I merge 2 .pkg files without error?

I have used pkg-merge ps4 tool and also PS4 AIO to try and merge a pkg file. The pkg file merged successfully, but the PS4 will not install the newly created merged pkg.

For example, I am trying to merge 2 pkg files entitled:

EP0006-CUSA09216_00-THESIMS400000000-A0100-V0100
EP0006-CUSA09216_00-THESIMS400000000-A0105-V0100

when i use pkg-merge, i get "EP0006-CUSA09216-merged", which will not install.

With PS4 AIO, i merge the same files, and get a merged file called
"EP0006-CUSA09216_00-THESIMS400000000-A0100-V0100", which also will not install.

is there a step I am missing?
 
i dont think you can merge updates like that. that tool is meant for merging sony retail packages that come in 4gb chunks.

if you want to merge a update and pkg. install the game and update on the ps4 and dump it again but have the dumper set to not dump the update separate.
 
Once you dump your files. I'd use Fake pkg tools 'gen gp4' &'orb pub gen' there is a crucial step for joining the dumped files which it very well may be..... When you open your gp4 update pkg in orbpubgen you have to make sure it's corresponding to the fake game pkg in Project settings. It will do it automatically if you keep things in the same directory. Google on and you will succeed.

How do you merge pkg files on Mac I am trying to download god of war on my ps4 but when I Extracted the .rar part one file it gives me multiple pkg files and I don’t know how to merge them together to play the game can someone help me by telling me a pkg merger for Mac or can I just download all of the pkg files and download them all Unmerged on my ps4 and press the download all button or could someone one please merge them for me and send them back to me please it would really help if you want to please help me my discord is Boruto uzumaki#6720
