Hi everyone,

I have a jailbroken ps4 on 5.05 and I want to update it to the latest software version so iIcan play red dead redemption 2.
Is there any way I can get banned after getting online? Since I've installed a lot of games and played them on the jailbroken version.

Cheers

Do not update past firmaware 5.05, you'll be doomed, there's no exploit past 5.05

I know that there's no jailbreak past 5.05.
I've bought the physical copy of rdr2 and im just asking if can get banned once online on the latest firmware.

ok ok, well not sure, but if I had to, I'd clean the HDD and restore 5.05 or update to 6.02, AND would play with a different account.

My advice is to reinitialise by recovery mode your ps4 before upgrade to 6.02.
You will start with a "clean" ps4.

Why not buy another ps4? I have one on 5.05 and the other one will be on 6.02.

I played almost all the games I wanted and that are on 5.05. It's time to move on
No, you will not be banned if you update to 6.02. The only thing which will happen is, all your games will be locked. Nothing else will happen. And whenever the exploit of 6.02 comes, you will be again able to unlock & play all the locked games.

Why not just exchange PS4? Who people wanted a 5.05 kexploit and own 6.02 to 5.50.

What are the data that I'm going to lose?
Am I going to lose my offline trophies ?

Warning ! You will loose everything with this action.
It’s the price to pay if you want to not be banned.
The console sends data to sony. so if you have locked games it will be suspicious.
I do not know if there are traces of HEN but I personally do not take risks.

The only "traces" you will leave (I guess) are the passcodes of the games, which are all made with 16 zeroes.
So, yes, it's risky to keep those on your console after updating.
I'd suggest to backup everything you can with Filezilla and then just clean up your PS4.
After that you're good to go, and will have your games if (eventually) one day there'll be some other JB firmware
