I like Fallout 4's base game, but I love what the community has done with mods even more, especially with PS4 Mods, but it seems that I have to use PSN to download mods directly from Bethesda's Website... is there a way around this either out, or in the works, like a pkg file download, or something similar... I'd love to know

I'll look into this and see what I can find, I imagine it will be something like recompiling the extracted basegame with mods THEN repacking it, Otherwise, It would possibly involve decryption

I did see some one did use pc mod for the ps4 game. they did update file for the game and install the pkg file..

You have to open the FPKG file that you downloaded of Fallout and you basically do it the same way as ps3 after that. Download your mods from a Fallout PC mod website and open up the fallout.ini file. add the file name to the ini like so
Code:
stestfile1="name of mod here".esp

and place the .esp mod file into the data folder you create.

heres a video on the subject. your basically making your own update for skyrim or fallout.

I found this out back on PS3 for Fallout NV when the 3.55 CFW Waninkoko came out and its very easy.

What about custom textures/etc are they supported? Last I heard it wasn't doable on fallout only oblivion and skyrim on ps3. Hopefully ps4 has more modding compatability xD id be repacking fo4 for dayss

I did try over 20 mod youtube video dont help for fallout 4. it help skyrim ini file not same on the games.

Guys try the video i posted I know it works 110%

I guess I'll look into that video, and if I can I'll try to make a batch program to make a lot of the steps easier to set-up for beginners, or stream lined for repeating.

If I understand youtube video correctly, you can use .ba2 files. But i tried several different against none of them works will be forced to reinstall the game on my ps4

batch program sound very nice.

Sorry for my spelling I have dyslexia

Hi,

Guy who posted the video here. Fallout is different to Skyrim and there are a lot of issues still to be resolved for that game.
I have found that most esp mods work fine using the "stestfile1= mod.esp" approach in the .ini but there are issues loading custom textures from a .ba2. You cannot load textures from a raw folder called textures like you can in Skyrim. I have also had a lot of issues with mods that contain custom scripts. Freezing in the loading screen or as soon as you spawn in or trigger the quest in game.

Would be great to get more people working on solutions for these issues.

I knew textures wouldnt work , i havent messed with the ba2 files but i was talking about esp mods in my post. But i thought they were the same my bad. I did however point ppl in the right direction with the esp and ini files and data folder. I found out how to do pc mods on ps3 its pretty much the same. But Goodluck to everyone trying to get those files to work

I do not even get .esp files working. Wonder what I'm doing wrong

Loved the original fallout, I bought all the dlc and played it legit after I had used the dogmeat glitch for copper ha ha. lost everything when I jailbroke my ps4 and installed a bigger HDD. Ive not downloaded the GOTY edition and will cheat on it. Think Fallout 4 is the best game Ive played.

Great mate. Im going to play Fallout 4 again but cheat if I Can. I'll smash it. Some areas were tough and hard to get through (like the mine).

I hope I will not get a problem because I ask this. Should someone be able to take a look at my update file and see what I'm doing wrong

I'm having issues making my own modded update for Fallout 4 too, it installs well, but the game gets stuck at the loading screen.
Hope someone can help.

Thanks
