do FPKG's have a Firmware Update in them ?

hi DS members , i just got my first PS4 on 5.05 and i have a dumb question before installing FPKG's. Do the FPKG's have a Firmware Update in them , i'd hate to install a game and then when i go to play it it installs a Firmware over 5.05.

btw is there a list of Firmware needed for games , i found the below but it's not extensive

No, PS4 FPKGs don't have PS4 FW updates included. Just the game. If a game needs a higher FW than 5.05 it can't be dumped anyway. So impossible that you get a game that would need a higher FW in FPKG format.

Suchs lists are pretty hard to maintain.

Before I almost forgot it again: better also run the update blocker payloads to block update installation/download.

Look, no FPKG (no matter whether base game or update) will have any FW update files in them. None of the game backups would install an FW update. The only thing you would get if you for example install a FW 5.05 game on a FW 4.74 PS4 is a message asking you to update your FW to 5.05 as the game needs it. However you can cancel that and if you use the update blocker payload any kind of updates cannot be installed anyway. You would get an error saying something similar to "Cannot install update <PS4 internal error code>". And that's it.

So the only way you would get your FW updated is by doing it on purpose by yourself.
