Hello!

So I have a hackable Switch on firmware 9.0.0. - asking to be updated.

Where do I start to be able to run emulators and ROM dumps on my device? I went to a wiki page but it doesn't mention my firmware or have downloads and whatnot on how to downgrade, etc.

Thanks in advance! I'm hoping to have all this sorted by 10/17 so I can get the re-release of Harvest Moon. :D

If you switch is on 9.0.0 Official firmware it can never be downgraded to a previous versio, you are stuck with it. lucky for you 9.x.x is hackable.
the lingo for the switch is quite extensive. but easy enough
where to start: start reading the threads from other people here https://ayakalounge.me/forums/switch-hacking-homebrew.51/
if reading is hard watch youtube videos till you know what, CFW is, atmosphere, NAND and emuNAND, pay load and payload injector. gold leaf and tinfoil.

I guess I'm just getting lost on here. Like, there are pinned hacking tutorials under "hacking and homebrew" spread out, then there are less definitive ones on the actual "tutorials" section.

When I hacked my WiiU I followed this step-by-step wiki but the one posted here is a dead link, and the other talks about hacking 3.0.0...so I'm too nervous to even get started because I don't want to mess up. Ha

Did you copy-paste this from somewhere? I didn't seem to find it on switch.hacks.guide.

@DitterWit No I did not copy and paste. I wrote it and if you could not find it anywhere the fact still remains true. if you are on official firmware 9.x.x you cannot downgrade ever.
there is no spoon fed tutorial., and the reason for that is because some of the steps required to jailbreak NS are hard to explain even to the best of us. its better if you watch a video and get familiar with the process.
I gave you 2 options
1 read the threads
2 go to youtube and watch videos.
step by step guides have been made and have left people with more questions than answers.
hacking process for the switch is way different than the Wii.
get familiar with the terminology. Once you do the process will be way easier for me to help you
this is what you should search on youtube "9.0.0 atmosphere hack"
