Best and current FW +Atmosphere?

Hi,

Thanks to this community first and foremost for everything it's amazing.

I have not updated in a long time on my switch's but one is sitting at 8.1.0
Works great but i want to update all of mine and make sure i am doing the proper update and all.

Is 8.1.0 the best and most stable currently? I don't see any need to go higher at the moment.

Also which atmosphere is the best is it the 9.1 i believe?

I just want to update properly and not mess any of them up. Thanks for any help or advice it is greatly appreciated.

If you are on 8.1.0 stay there. NO need to update and you are correct that is the best right now.
in fact you will have many problems if you update as of now.

most useful homebrew apps are up to date for 8.x.x and also newer games requiring 9.0..0 can be patched to work on 8.x.x and even 7.x.x.

as far as atmosphere. no need to update, you are fine where you are at.if you need to know if atmo latest update will work on your 8.x.x NS the answer is yes. it will work and it is the best

in my opinion the time to update is when games cannot be patched to work on 8.x.x anymore. even if FW 10 is released.

So use ChoixduJour or w/e to update to 8.1.0 then leave it at that.
I am wondering because i notice goldleaf freezes alot now trying to update and alot of times it will crash and show me a crash screen and i have to press power to reboot to payload.

That's the main reason and also due to many games needing 8.xx firmware to run coming out.

Iam at FW 9.0.0 with Athmosphere 0.9.4 and exFat formatted SD card with emuNAND and everything works fine with sigpatches and fusee-primary.bin payload.

yes update with Choi
then update gold leaf manually. delete old files and install brand new ones
gold leaf has nothing to do with Choi so cause of the freeze is unknown to me
