I have a phat 5.05, a slim on 6.20 and a pro on 6.70.

I will update soon the slim and the pro and do this. I think that I will copy them with the slim.

But regarding the updates, I think that I need to install them from a different source, because SONY let's you download updates only from PSN.

Can you or someone please give me some quick links with the tools? I will update to 6.72 and put the jailbreak and see what I can do. I have an 160 gb external drive used on exFAT to install games and I will copy to it and upload for you. :biggrin:

Wait a bit. Stay for some days on 5.05. Or buy a second console for 6.72. But, if you really want to play a certain game, go with the update. I will test the jailbreak on my slim and pro and after that I will tell you the results.

My 5.05 phat will stay like this, because I think that the installed games and saves will/can disappear...

I've had it running on my spare slim but it's mad unstable atm.

Took me like 13 attempts to have it running without crashing or having to reset.

I would suggest that anyone running a stable 5.05 JB just to wait until there is a stable release. I only did it because I had a spare on a earlier FW.

Installed jailbreak 6.72. Crashed on first try. But ran ok 2nd time on local host. Most of my previously installed games (JB 5.05) no longer work (error CE-34878-0).

Update:

Tested RDR2. Working ok so far.
Tested DMC5. Working ok so far.
Tested Days Gone. Working ok so far.
Tested Resident Evil 2 Remake. Working ok so far.
Tested Marvel's Spider-Man (1.17). Working ok so far.

I managed to download the 1.51 update for Days Gone and merged it and installed on my console.

I will dump it with the update together, for my ps4 pro but my upload speed is very slow (10 parts of 450mb each will take 2 to 3 hours to complete - 0.77mb/sec upload on zippy...).

Sorry. But I will try to upload games from some friends. Or maybe make a torrent file so someone can take games directly from my PC.

But I have learned a lot about retail updates and how to merge them regarding of the OFW and I can make a tutorial for you guys. :D

After some minor updates, that HEN is not as stable like in the first days.

A theory of mine from 5.05 hen back in 2018 was that they could make hen for phat/slim/pro. For example, Dark Modder's first versions worked with 100% success rate on my pro and not at all on my slim. Now, it does not work all the times on both.

But in the 5.05 days the crashes/errors were low and I have abandoned the idea. Wait for SpecterDev's work.

both works for update. But stay on 5.05/5.07, because I have uploaded Days Gone for 5.05.

yes, maybe is better to wait for something really stable and well tested. I appreciate the work for the 6.72 so far, but I think that it's still better to wait. thanks

about the backporting, I've read that someone had problems with the savegames, game crash or fan too noisy than normal. Is it true ? I mean it could be possible becauase of the bakporting ?
