Hi,
yesterday I updated by mistake to 8.0.0 firmware (of course burning efuses) and today I installed atmosphere 0.8.8 that supports this new firmware, but doesn´t work, when I go to the Album, still seeing the pictures and not the Hbmenu.

Atmosphere looks like it´s loading ok, load sept screen and then the atmosphere screen but after that, it load the nintendo logo (I do not remember having seen it before.).

I formatted again the sd and reinstalling atmosphere but get the same results, I even use another sd with the same results.

Any idea of what may be happening?

Regards

Have you tried holding the R button then pressing it? That's what I have to do to enter the homebrew menu. I use Kosmos updater which comes with atmosphere on it, so I don't know if It will be the same.

Before I didn't know how to enter the homebrew menu until I started pressing random buttons, I thought I was on OFW but then I had a custom theme on my switch which still showed. I also saw the sept atmosphere logo showing up

I can confirm: team Atmosphere is so awesome they let you use your album now
In order to see the homebrew menu you have to HOLD R and then press the album folder (while still holding R)

Hi again, thanks both of you @tony eng and @dorianx12 , you are right, pressing R button enters to hbmenu but games I installed before are not working, it says "Could not start the software. Please try again form the HOME menu.". I´m going to try install a game again and look if it works.

EDIT: I´ve tried to install games that had installed before with tinfoil 0.2.1 and throws me an error code 0x00299002. None of the installed games works.

Regards and thanks again.

That error comes from having a higher firmware than what is supported on the CFW. You could always downgrade your firmware using ChoiDujourNX

The website I use to get the firmware for ChoiDujourNX is from https://darthsternie.net/index.php/switch-firmwares/. I believe 7.01 is fine now, but if not try 6.2.0. I had this problem also awhile ago

I updated to 8.0.0 by mistake, at hekake info i can see 9 burnt efuses, can I downgrade to 7.01?

choidujournx is able to update and downgrade firmware without burning efuses i believe. You could just look up a youtube tutorial on how to use choidujournx while using the link I gave to choose your firmware
