On September 19, 2018, Bandai Namco announced that players who pre-order Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown for the PlayStation 4 will receive a digital copy of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War on the PlayStation 4 as a free bonus. According to those who downloaded this version, the game appears to be more than just a copy of the PlayStation 2 original. Enhanced visuals, a much larger file size than the original game, and a save system that does not reference memory cards are some of the noted differences. Given the amount of work, it is possible that Namco may eventually release this version for direct sale.​

This is not a PS2 game.
It’s an official port of the game exclusively for the PS4.

Just wanted to say thanks for this! I tried making a PS2 package of the original myself, but it was really poor visually. This is the perfect version of the game. You're doing great work.

Thanks but I'm honestly not doing great work, it would've been nice if @cyber1000 or @opoisso893 had backported this awesome remake. Instead of the 1000th shovelware. I tried to backport it with an autobackport tool but @cyber1000 was right about them not working properly.

I'd love to play it myself but would rather stay on 5.05 in the hope that FW delivers something special.
