A question about updates and fake .pkgs

Hello everyone. I just recently created a .pkg file from Alien Isolation disc (CUSA00363) because I wanted the American version of the game. My question is, after the .gp4 and .pkg creation process, do I need to go to PS4 PKG Database to download the patch(es) for the game? Should I do something like merge all the update .pkgs with the .pkg I created together? If so, what app would I use for that purpose? If I should do anything besides that, please let me know.

Sorry for all the questions, but I need to know. Thanks :).
 
You need to patch the game on your ps4 before you dump it. Just download the patch pkg file from the PS4 PKG Database site and install it via debug menu. The dumper will create two folders on your usb device (CUSAXXXXX-app and CUSAXXXXX-patch), then create two seperate .gp4/pkgs from them. Don't merge anything.
 
Thanks for your help. I will try doing this and preparing games I had trouble with before. Hoping for some luck this time around.

Did u mean need game CD again or u mean install FAKE PKG and install update from web site u mention above and dump it again ????

No, you need your disc for dumping. Updates from the website (official PSN pkg) only work with your legit game disc. No fpkg installing.

I tried downloading two .pkg files from https://ps4database.io/search for Batman: Arkham Knight (US). There is also a delta patch. Do all of these need to be merged into one .pkg file in order to work? I tried installing the first two I mentioned and got the CE-35659-8 error message. I have the original disc and have already installed it.

You don't need the delta patch, just merge the other pkg pieces and install it normally via the debug menu.
