Question about the update history in a game

Hi,

I have a question about the update history. I installed Darksiders 3 with the 1.10 update but if I look at the update history I only see the 1.10 update and not the previous updates. I checked some other games and there they show also the history form previous updates. Why is this?

A wild guess: it's up to the game developer to include what they wish. Some include a whole history with additional information with the new update info. Others only include information of the new patch without anything else older.

I also experienced this with several games. It also seems that sometimes when you install updates the information is actually overwritten. And other times the new information is added. Like I backported an update for the game. I saw all info about the older updates but the backport tool also included its own info saying "Backported with tool XXX".

I guess you can do different approaches.
