ps4 hen crashes on launch

greetings,

so when i run the exploit from al azif it craches the first time and i have to go through the storage restoration thingy, but the next time it boots up it works just fine

what could be the issue?

i always only use HEN
and the exploit is up to date

Hey haru7kun try this when you start the exploit don't have external hard drive plugged in , plug it in after running exploit.

It doesnt matter it happens with or without any idea why? Also i wanted to ask as im buying a external hdd can i unplug it and transfer games and then plug it on ps4 and install them?

are you using the hdd as an expansion for the ps4?

cause as far as i know
to use it as an expansion you need to format it on ps4 first,

if not you can just put your games on the hdd, install them and you are ready to go

i am pretty sure the ps4 will ask you to format it again to use it as an expansion, give it a try : )

i think it wouldn't as it is formatted on its known file system wonder if windows recognizes it

Try running the exploit from offline cache. If it crashes, boot up PS4, turn it off, then turn it on again. Always wait a few minutes after booting the console. After running the exploit, exit the internet browser with O instead of the PS button. Finally, try a different exploit host.

It doesnt matter what you try it will crash the ps4, and expect worse, this damn jailbreak has corrupted my ps4 2 times thus initializing it from begining a reall pain in the ass, everything removed and you know the worst i end up updating my ps4 to 5.55 for some reason, i hope the new jailbreak fix this as it is quite annoying

@Reo99 Good luck waiting for that. And Windows will not recognize the PS4 made partitions on a hard drive (unless they're either FAT32/exFAT or NTFS). I mean the partitions will be visible in disk management but cannot be mounted and so you cannot see the inside. Keep in mind that the PlayStation 4 OS is based on FreeBSD Unix. So it is likely to use something filesystem like EXT3/4 or something from the common Unix/Linux filesystems. I couldn't exactly find out what filesystem it uses because Windows doesn't even recognize that.

My personal experience so far: The exploit works as intended for me. I have the newer version cached offline with autoload and such stuff that Al Azif added recently. Works like a charm. Lowest kernel panic rate so far for me. I don't have Internet connection enabled. I don't have any USB devices connected. Sure I get the "System has not enough memory" error once or twice but after that HEN is always successfully applied. Small annoying thing but acceptable for me.

Any idea this has to be on the ps4 pro model instead of slim, i mean this problems the biggest one i got is reseting the whole ps4 i hated that

The older version also worked much better for me, the new one crushes often.
