My kid got fw upgrade popup, ofcourse she pushed “the button”. Now on 7.0.0 I did a system backup earlier when I was on 6.2. If I restore nand will my system go back to 6.2? If so, will my installed games still work on sd! Or do I need to install everything all over again with updates? Should I wait for athmosphere to work properly on 7.0.0? Im new to this scene, sorry for my noob questions

Officially you cannot use 6.2 FirmWare again, but I think you can restore your nand backup and then boot using AutoRCM and Hekate every single time to run CFW 6.2
it is my understanding RCM bypasses fuse checks so if you use a bootloader you can use CFW
its a pain when you update. . . currently no ETA on 7.0 hack

Thank you for reply. Well, I did get banned, but have another one witch is not.
Update was already downloaded to switch, ready to get installed. So popup ocured from time to time. :/
Will there be 7.0.0 hack? Whad would u have done?

In my opinion you should wait for 7.0.0 CFW. Nintendo just announced a big line up of great games on their nintendo direct. and we are expecting even bigger tittles to be announced at E3. I assume if those tittles require 7.0.0 OFW in order to run or even regardless of anything 7.0.0 hack will happen any minute or maybe months who knows . I mean 6.2.0 CFW came out of nowhere and no one was expecting it so fast . . .
For everyone who hasnt done it yet and you want to block every connection with nintendo, I would change my nintendo switch to a static DNS ( 90DNS ) this way no updates will be downloaded and most important it will let you play local multiplayer with your banned nintendo switch. (side note. obviously not on nintendo servers ) and it will also let you download from the homebrew appstore, and also FTP

4)If you already have a wifi network: Tap on your wifi network, pick Change Settings
5)If you don't have a wifi network added, open Manual Setup and set up your network name, SSID and Security
6)Set DNS Settings to Manual, and set primary DNS to "163.172.141.219" and secondary DNS to "45.248.48.62" then save

What about athmosphere 0.8.3, it does suppoert FW 7.0.0? But it wont run my backups etc. without the new keys?

news is athmosphere has made great progress but still not ready to release a stable CFW. . . just wait before you know it there will be a hack for 7.0.0. go play Ace Combat 7 or resident evil 2 remastered for pc they are great lol

great news firmware 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 has been hacked using atmosphere .0.8.4.
you can now run 6.2.0 CFW and play your games like before
