installing nps and updates advice

a couple of my games i have installed (nsp files) wont start saying "a software update is required"
mario kart 8 and pinball fx3
now when i install any update do i just install the latest one or do i need get all the updates and install them in order?
i just install the latest i can find.
if i am doing the right thing what am i doing wrong?

Make sure you check the ignore firmware every time you instal NSPs
you dont need to install old updates. you only need the latest one.
install order: base game> latest update> and then DLC ( DLC need to be installed in order DLC1 then DLC2 sort them by release date)
not installing them in order will shoot error
 
ok looks like im doing right then so any ideas why you think mario kart and pinball fx refuse to start asking for an software update
 
uninstall the game
reinstall the base game only try to run it see if it works, if you have downloaded the base game from one region and installed update nsp from a different region you will that

1)post version of all your software 2) link where you got the base game and I will try to replicate your problem because it doesnt make sense
 
latest version atmosphere and gold leaf.
and i cant remember were i got them from were would you recomend me getting my nsp files ive got them off this forum mainly
like i said only 2 games seems do it with is mario kart and pinball fx

ive already had this games installed before i hacked the console could the console be looking for the update i had before?
