Guys, I don't know where to ask this question .... so just popping it here
I am new to the jailbreak scene and please do help ..

Do I have to connect to internet and run Hen every time I want to install or play an already installed game ?

When I turn off the console and when I turn it back on and try to run an installed game (without connecting to the internet), it says something about wanting to connect to PlayStation network and the game doesn't start.

please help me out here guys ...

Thanks in advance ...

and guys should I not use Mira or Mira+Hen ???
is it Hen or Hen 1.8 that I should be using ?

Use Hen (which is 1.7)
And you have to run hen every time you turn off / restart your ps4 to install games and/or play the installed games. Also make sure you run the block updates payload. (Only need to do that once)

Yes, unfortunately you have to run the exploit again everytime you boot or restart your PlayStation 4 in order to play the installed games or install new games. Excluded from this are your original games that you own on discs.

No, you don't have to connect to the Internet everytime to get to the exploit page. You can cache it to use it fully offline. After that you just disable Internet connection and you will still be able to access the exploit page to run the needed exploits.

I agree with @rustomen you ahould run the update blocker exploit to prevent any kind of attempt to install a newer firmware. Just to be sure.

When you launch a game that you installed using a exploit without running the exploit prior to launching the game it will attempt to check if you own the game and that is why it wants to connect to PSN. Just abort that, run the exploit and after that you can play the games.

You can use Hen 1.7 or 1.8 freely upon your own wish. Hen 1.8 adds remote PKG installation and has better PlayStation VR support but is otherwise exactly like Hen 1.7.

Hi All probably a daft question but can you add purchased digital games to your jailbroken PS4? Not for the purpose of online play. Or am I only relied upon PKG filed games ?

You can't as you need PSN access to get to purchased games. So you can only use FPKGs

Hi thanks for the reply and advice. What if I purchased a digital copy from a shop and just had the code to input? I want to play that days gone game and just have the jailbroken PS4 with no disc drive.
Thanks :-)
