Hi, hopefully i've put this in the right place but I'm getting the error code CE-38603-0 when trying to install The Witness fpkg. Have tried searching but couldn't find anything related to the specific error code. I have downloaded the file from at least four different sources and they all display the same error code.

Other packages install fine, it's just this one. I suspect a faulty package, but it's odd that that same error appears for every one i have downloaded. It opens fine in fake package viewer, it says it's a fake package rather than an official one. I'm at a bit of a loss as to what this is or what that error code means. Any help/info would much appreciated.

Thanks

Have enough disk space available? During installation you basically need 2x the game size because of copying of the files temporarily while installation is running.

Thanks for the getting back to me. The game is only 4Gb and there's more than 100Gb free on the internal hard drive.

im pretty sure thats the same error code i was getting when i was trying to make a cheat pkg file (so basically a corrupt pkg file)

try downloading it again could be that your torrent app didnt hash check it at the end correctly

Thanks for your reply. I do suspect a faulty pkg file, but I have downloaded it from 4 different sources, all with the same result, which is very odd. It could be the exact same file from all four sources. That's the only thing that would explain the same error with the different files.

Some releases are actually dead on arrival and the people who created them never bothered to fix it. They spread as broken as they are to the whole Internet and many sites while never working. Happened to quite a few PS4 titles already including the very first Grand Theft Auto V release by BlaZe. The game installed but never went further than the start screen.

Perhaps that is the case here?

I have just checked a couple of the magnet links and they turned out to be the same. So i guess it is the same file and what you say about them spreading is the most likely case. I'll just wait until a working copy becomes available. Thanks for your input.
