Hi guys,

I have a question about App2USB Payload. I have two USB Hdds, both are configured as USB0 and already felt pkgs with App2USB. Now I have learned that it is possible to operate two USB HDDs on the PS4. (USB0 and USB1)

What is the best way to go about using both hard drives at the same time without having to reinstall all pkg?

PS4 FW. 6.72

When you say you have learned it is possible to operate two usb hdds on the ps4, are you still talking about apptousb? Because AFAIK, you cant have two formatted to the PS4 it's never been possible if that's what you meant.

However you may be able use one as apptousb and one formatted to the PS4.

I use 3 external HDD with apptousb, I change them according to the games installed to each and to the games I want to play.
Be aware to put the right HDD when moving the pkg and to use the same ini file for both of them.
But always one connected to the console, never both together (anyway it takes 1 second to change them when needed)

Couldn't you get like 3 or 4 port usb hub and plug them all in at the same time? I know the PS4 will let you, but I don't know if it works with apptousb.

Hello,

sorry for my bad english, i use google for translation.
I'll try to explain it more simply.

Normal procedure: You have a USB HDD (exFat with app2usb.ini USB0) and you use it until it is full. Then take a second USB HDD (exFat with app2usb.ini USB1) (MOUNT_POINT = 1) / (USB0 ini SKIP_DRIVE) from now on all newly moved PKGs are saved on USB1 and can be started from there.

But I didn't do it that way, I made one USB HDD full, then disconnected it from the PS4 and connected two USB HDDs and also filled them without changing the ini.
Which now means that I can only use one of the two USB HDDs. Since App2USB moved all pkgs to USB0.

I would now have to configure one of the USB HDDs as USB1 and change all paths from the pkgs from USB0 to USB1.

The question now is how do you do that?

How to change APP2USB (link) paths after moving pkgs?

I have a 3 USB port and one of the USB port is not working correctly. I assume the PS4 doesn't have enough power for that. I wouldn't try it with apptousb in order to avoid corrupting the all database

do you know if that's possible? That would work out great for me since I'm having this app2usb issue that's feeling like a huge pain in the ass not sure where to even start to figure it out. Somehow my internal hard drive is filled up and I have like 2 tb left on my 8tb external hooked up with app2usb. All the things that app2usb didn't transfer to my external now filled up my internal hard drive so I can't install any games anymore due to that. If I could do my other 8tb hard drive and merge it with the internal drive it would solve that for me.
