Can't install packages

Hi nearly all the packages I install won't work even if I have had no problems extracting them from winrar. I am using an external hdd to put the games on and this is rarely working so I have a few questions 1) could it be my hardrive 2) should I be trying to install them from a usb stick? 3) would initializing my ps4 and reinstalling system software make any difference. Any advice would be appreciated as this is very frustrating and time consuming
 
1. Maybe, try to use another one and see if there's any difference.
2. Try it, and if installed then the problem will be your hard drive.
3. IDK, leave this option the last one

Have tried both my external hhd. Managed to install a game just there. Can it be hit or a miss alot or is it normally fine for You?

IDK, try to download from torrent, it seems like a lot of ppl have problems when they download rar files and extract them.
 
ye probably due to outdated winrar and drag and drop extracting instead of choosing a path lol
