Is it possible to buy a Hard Drive with PKG files already installed? ie like 6TB drive.

Say someone has already downloaded all the games and running it on their PS4,decide to sell the Drive to another person with a modded PS4,is it as easy as plug and play? or does each PS4 recognise that hard drive and pkg files installed?

Just curious, incase in the future i want to buy a premade Hard drive with games

I'm pretty sure whenever you install a hard drive your ps4 will have to format it first. Meaning you can't just plug someone's else hard drive and be able to play whatever installed in it.

The internal hardware security chip of the PlayStation 4 will most likely make such endeavours impossible. Remember that the PlayStation 4 hard drives are encrypted per console. Inserting a hard drive from another PlayStation 4 into your PlayStation 4 will most likely prompt you to fully format the drive and reinstall the OS or atleast reinitialize the hard drive which will delete all installed games and etc. I.e. after installing the hard drive the PlayStation 4 will only boot into safe mode and only offer options to format the hard drive and reinstall OS/reinitalize the hard drive.

The sad part about this that you can generally get the decryption key from the PlayStation 4 for the hard drive to connect it to your computer and browse it... However you cannot encrypt it back for other PlayStation 4 consoles. So even if you get the decryption key from the other PlayStation 4 for its hard drive you are still no further than before. A bit ironic.

The security chip is what prevents downgrades also. It still hasn't been hacked. Maybe if it ever gets hacked somehow this request might be possible.
