Buying Disc or Digital version?

Hello, want to buy an PS5 Slim console, but i am not sure if Disc or Digital version.

1. Can i use the Disc drive without internet connection?
2. Have i to register it before using it, and if yes does it men i need first update to actual firmware before i can pair/ register it?

Well i want to buy one and play old disc games until an jb comes out, but if i need to register the drive online an update the fw than i buy the digital version.

1. Yes, you can play a disc game without being required online.
2. You don't need to update the firmware, if the disc is newer that has required firmware and will force you to update the firmware's current version that follows the disc. You need to do first research which games are supported on firmware version

But if I buy an Slim with Disc drive than the Disc drive can only be used after Registering it with the Console Online right?

Or will it work without going online, out of the box?

If you buy a disc drive and need to connect online to register.

That means you need to update the firmware of PS5 to use the Disc drive?
As far I know you can not log-in without update to last fw.
But not sure, i only play offline

yes, that's correct, if you buy PS5 with disc included then you won't need connect to online required.
